5 WAYS MARKETING WILL EVOLVE IN 2017
Happy New Year! How will you make the most of 2017?
Mobile is going to continue to be a focal point. Did you know mobile is expected to consume about three hours per day of the average consumer’s time? Look for social video ads, AI (artificial intelligence) for personalization, and cross-device targeting to become more important in 2017.
It’s time to evolve your business marketing to get better at building customer relationships and moving your customer through the purchasing funnel. Ask us how we can help you improve and implement your marketing plans.
SAFE AND SECURE INTERNET
Creating a safe environment for users to browse is a priority. Google Chrome is taking steps to ensure that websites are clearly marked as “secure” or “non-secure.”
You may have noticed a little lock when you are browsing websites. This indicates the site uses HTTPS, a secure version of HTTP. Starting this month, if you are not using HTTPS and your site uses passwords or credit card information, Chrome will indicate your site is “not secure.” In order to mark your site as “secure,” which allows your users to feel comfortable sharing their private information, web traffic is transitioning to HTTPS sites.
HTTPS is also a Google ranking signal. Now is a good time to move your site from HTTP to HTTPS. We are starting to upgrade existing sites to enable both the best performance and powerful new features that are too sensitive for HTTP sites. Give us a call or send an email to get on the schedule to have your site upgraded.

“A third of all online activity is spent watching videos, with 90% of users saying that they found product videos helpful while making an online purchase decision.” Let us know how we can help you integrate video into your social media marketing plans this year.
VIDEO CAPTIONS
Facebook wants you to add captions to make it easier for people to watch your videos without sound.
Captions increase engagement and watch time. Videos currently can be watched with or without sound, so including captions is an easy way you can guarantee users see your message.
This feature is available within publishing tools in the Page manager. You can generate video captions with the click of a button, and then correct any errors in the text. Use this tool for all of your videos on Facebook to connect with your audience!
