What Do the Polls Tell Us?
Polling your audience can be a great way to get feedback on new products, branding, market ideas, and content.
All the social media platforms have some type of polling features. Use these polls to get feedback, insight and engagement from your audience. Each platform also lets you pay to promote your poll to extend your reach.
Polls aren’t just a fun way to boost engagement on your social sites, but they provide quality feedback about what your audience is looking for.
Is YouTube Your Next Shopping Destination?
Google recently announced its plans to make YouTube a shopping destination online.
Imagine you’re watching a product unboxing or makeup tutorial and then have the option to purchase directly through YouTube. Right now you can click a link in the comments that redirects you to an ecommerce site, but Google is hoping to make it much easier to buy right through YouTube.
Google is still in the testing phase of this new shopping option partnering with Shopify, but keep an eye out for this feature.
Using Ads to Get Email Subscribers
We’ve talked a lot about the ROI of email marketing and the importance of owning your list, but how can you grow your list?
Social media ads can be one way to reach new audiences. Creating effective ads means giving your audience an incentive to subscribe to your email list using a lead magnet or offer.
Once you have new subscribers, don’t forget to communicate regularly!
The Text Overlay Tool is Gone
If you’ve experienced creating Facebook ad content, you’re probably aware of the 20% text rule and the text overlay tool to be sure your ads fit the parameters.
The image in your ad couldn’t have more than 20% text, and Facebook provided a tool to check your graphic. Facebook has removed the Text Overlay Tool, and now says it won’t penalize ads where images include >20% text on the picture. This is great news for advertisers because it was sometimes tricky to create and image that complied.
When creating social content, you still want to be concise. Even without the 20% rule, remember social media is primarily a visual medium so keep your text short and sweet.
